4EB 98.1 FM is an ethnic radio station that was formed in 1977. It began from humble origins, broadcasting above a bakery in the west end, but is now the most popular multicultural stations in Queensland. 4EB 98.1 FM currently facilitates 55 different language groups for both the non-English speaking community and for the cultural understanding of the wider community. It plays host to the popular segment QUT News, which is run by the Queensland University of Technology.
