Radio "Tune! 106.9 FM" online

106.9 Tune! FM had its inception back in 1968 and is one of Australia’s oldest community radio stations. It is not extremely popular among the population of New South Wales but it does have a dedicated following in its home town of Armidale. Tune FM considers themselves to be broadcasters of independent and alternative style music. They focus on an audience of 18-30 year olds because of their proximity to the University of New England. They have won support from locals with their playlist policy of at least 50% Australian music. Tune FM 106.9 is also known to provide industry training to volunteers, as a way to get some experience in a fully functional studio.
