The contents of A-PAC involves live broadcast from the Parliament House of Australia in Canberra. This includes the sittings of the Senate, House of Representatives and the meetings of the Parliamentary Committee. Australias Public Affairs Channel broadcasts the political press conferences. The channel also offers live broadcasting from the parliaments of Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. Apart from these, it provides contents from the proceedings of the United States Congress, as well as coverage from the parliaments of United Kingdom and New Zealand. Speeches from the National Press Club of Australia are also aired live on A-PAC. They also offer materials from the European Parliament in Brussels and even the United Nations, occasionally.

Accolades


The channel was branded as good for our democracy by the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in the December of 2008. He was referring to the fact that before the channel began airing, the public did not have such in-depth access to the public affairs relevant to the country.
